Memorandums of understanding
Standard texts for governing the relationship between UNICEF and its procurement services partners
The relationship between UNICEF and its procurement services partners is governed by a memorandum of understanding (MOU). The MOU is a legal document that sets out contractual terms, conditions, processes and operational rules.
Standard MOUs have fixed, pre-determined texts, with variations occurring only in designated entry fields. There are different standard MoUs for different entities such as governments, UN agencies and NGOs. The standard texts are available in English, French and Spanish.
Non-standard MOUs that allow for greater text variation can be used to meet partner needs that are not addressed in standard MOUs.
