Procurement strategy

The preparation of a procurement strategy is the first step in the process that leads to the selection of suppliers and terms of contract and the final execution of the contracts until these are fulfilled.

The procurement strategy establishes the objectives and best approach to achieve the objectives, taking into consideration the market situation and risks, the options available within the regulatory and institutional framework as well as the capacity to manage the process.
