Validate the results and develop a roadmap
Create an actionable plan (roadmap) to address any bottlenecks identified during the assessment process, making sure to involve key stakeholders in the process to ensure alignment.

Based on the results from the SCMM assessment, the user will be directed to one of the established assessment tools that fits better with the user's purpose. These stand-alone assessment tools have already been developed and standardized by several international institutions and partners that include the procurement cycle, focusing on specific dimensions (e.g. PEFA for overall PFM, MAPS for procurement strategy and execution, etc.).
The results of the maturity assessment can be internally validated during the workshop by the participants.
The next step for the countries is to develop an actionable plan on how to address the weak areas highlighted by the assessment or conduct a deep dive assessment to determine the root causes of low performance. A prioritization exercise must also be conducted to help determine the functional areas in need of more urgent attention over others as this helps with resource allocation.
