System digitalization portal

An interactive tool for partners and countries to track health digitalization planning and and inform future investments.

UNICEF

Countries have increasingly been adopting digital solutions to enhance and optimize their decision-making capacity. UNICEF, together with the support of development partners and donors, has been leading efforts to support countries in strengthening their health information systems.

The System Digitalization and Investment Portal (below) is a global mapping of digital solutions for health, behaviour change and supply chain management currently in use in developing countries. The mapping also includes other areas such as human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV), nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH).

With the tool, development partners and recipient countries can better understand the current information system landscape, use the evidence generated to shape and plan digitalization-related investments, and identify synergies across countries and health programmes. The dashboard also allows users to compare two regions or countries.

Landscaping countries’ supply chain digitalization solutions is part of a broader cross-partner effort to enhance end-to-end product visibility and support countries towards full public digitalization and development of traceability systems.
