COVID-19 is posing threats to the global economy, it is affecting both the business sector and the wider public. During these trying times, young people may be interested in looking for scholarships. Therefore, UNICEF has compiled a list of scholarships for young people and students. You can find a list of scholarships that matches your qualifications, the scholarships listed are from agencies in Thailand, study abroad scholarships and scholarships funded by educational institutions.

Scholarships offered by agencies
Scholarships offered by the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC)
There are various types of scholarships available for the general public where young people can also apply, for example, the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand Scholarships for high-school students (scholarships for bachelor’s degree or higher), the Undergraduate Intelligence Scholarship Program (UiS) offered by the government and the general public grants (scholarships for master’s degree or higher).

Scholarships offered by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA)
NSTDA offers scholarships that promote research skills and project creation through scholarships such as the Junior Science Talent Project (JSTP), Young Scientist and Technologist Program (YSTP), Master’s degree scholarship (TAIST-Tokyo Tech), Master’s and Doctoral degrees (TGIST), NSTDA University Industry Research Collaboration (NUI-RC) and postdoctoral fellowship program.

Yuvabadhana Foundation Scholarship Program
The Yuvabadhana Foundation Scholarship Program is offered to disadvantaged children who are studying in Matthayom 1 (it is only available to students studying in their network of schools) or in Matthayom 3 (only for students who continues vocational training). The selected students will become students of Yuvabadhana Foundation, they will be awarded educational scholarships up to Matthayom 6 or Level 3 of vocational training.

Scholarships offered by C.E. Foundation
C.E Foundation’s scholarships cover general education at upper secondary to higher education (bachelor’s degrees) and vocational education including vocational and high vocational training. The scholarship is free of charge and is unconditional. Scholarship recipients have to reside outside of Bangkok and its surrounding provinces. They must have good grades in accordance with the criteria specified by the Foundation and the intended institutions must only be state institutions.

Kansinee Scholarship’s objective is to organize a scholarship competition that gives scholarships to students with outstanding academic performance a chance to study abroad and become an exchange student for a period of one academic year.

Chulalongkorn University Scholarship
Chulalongkorn University has a number of scholarships available for students to study in Chulalongkorn University and in external institutions. The scholarships are available to students with great academic performance and to those who bring great reputation. Financial aid and research funding are also available for graduate students.

King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi Scholarship
The scholarships are available to both new students and current students. Scholarships are available in the form of financial aid from Mahidol University, state and public agencies.

Chiang Mai University Scholarship
Scholarships are divided into 2 types: Central and Faculty Scholarships.The Central scholarship is a scholarship that does not specify any faculty in particular. There are approximately 600 of these scholarships per year. The Faculty Scholarships is a scholarship that is given to the students studying in that specific faculty. There are approximately 1,500 scholarships per year. CMU also offers scholarships for new students to prepare themselves before studying at CMU.
