Who We Are
I Am UNICEF is UNICEF Thailand’s Volunteer Programme, engaging individuals in a collective effort to enhance the lives of children and youth across Thailand. It provides a platform for those who champion child rights to take actions to benefit children in their communities. I Am UNICEF volunteers contribute towards action-oriented outcomes aligned with UNICEF’s mission to protect and promote child rights.
Working under a child-centric code of conduct and guided by UNICEF’s mission, volunteers' transformative power and efforts can create positive change, shaping communities and a society where every child’s rights are upheld and protected.
Everyone can be part of the change
Since being founded in 2018, I Am UNICEF has mobilised over 26,000 individuals in 66 provinces in Thailand who have supported and contributed to more than 160 child rights-related activities as volunteers. These activities encompass on-ground and online initiatives, covering topics such as child safety, mental health, learning recovery, climate awareness, and more.

Volunteer Leader Programme
The Volunteer Leader Programme is an annual event that invites and support passionate individuals to take action for children and youth as well as to inspire others to take their parts. Chosen as "Volunteer Leaders," they lead teams of volunteers to organize tailored activities tackling challenges affecting children, young people, and their communities. With UNICEF's support, these activities help create a better life, environment and future for children and youth.
Since 2021, 31 Volunteer Leaders have led child rights activities in their areas, covering topics like online safety, climate change, and post-pandemic learning loss. Across 11 provinces and amplified online these efforts have reached over 70,000 people, spreading awareness about child rights and addressing specific challenges in different localities.
