Donate to an Education Charity in Thailand
By making a generous donation to UNICEF in Thailand, you’re helping the children of the nation develop to become educated and healthy citizens.
Saving Lives, Building Futures
What you’re about to do could change a child’s life forever. We're delighted that you're considering donating to UNICEF. The money you give today could protect a child from dangers like disease and abuse, and help them grow up safe and healthy.
UNICEF receives no money from the UN budget. We rely entirely on charitable donations like yours to fund our vital work to protect children, transform their lives and build a safer world for them to grow and develop. We work tirelessly to support children’s rights by advocating for laws and policies that help children gain the resources they need to live and thrive in today’s world.
Why choose UNICEF?
UNICEF is the leading organisation working for children in Thailand and many other countries around the world. We ensure more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We’ve done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else.
We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.
A child's needs are simple. Food, shelter, education and medical care are the rights of all people. But children especially suffer when they're denied these fundamental human rights.
Children are in their formative stages of development. They need adults to guide them and nurture them through this critical phase of their lives. When they don't have the resources they need, they cannot grow and become contributing members of society, and this hurts us all.
The Many Tasks of UNICEF
Children need to be shown that they have value in the world. By providing them with the resources they need, encouragement and a lot of love and guidance, children will learn they have value as human beings. The task of UNICEF is to address any and all impediments that prevent children from achieving their true potential.
UNICEF identifies and addresses any disparities because of race, religion or poverty that hinders the child’s ability to learn and develop. No one chooses the conditions under which they are born. Everyone deserves the right to develop and have a place in society where they can feel safe and learn to the best of their ability.
We take a multi-pronged approach to ensuring the welfare of children. It starts with ensuring children are safe. Protecting children from exploitation, violence, neglect and abuse is the first step. We work with governments and local cultures to ensure the basic safety of every child. We work to strengthen the social protection laws of various countries.
Medical care is another area where the work we perform is vital to the child’s ability to function in the world. We work to protect children from HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases and give them access to quality medical care when they need it.
Education is an area in which we are heavily involved, as well. We promote access to quality education at all stages of a child's development from the very young to children in their teenage years.
We also provide humanitarian assistance during emergencies, with our focus being on ensuring the children are safe and sound.
