2. Direct mail appeals
UNICEF mails out occasional fundraising appeals to our existing donors as well as to individuals to recruit new donors. Direct mail fundraising appeals to enlist new donors are also carried out with our corporate partners. These mailings are usually co-branded by UNICEF and our respective partners and are sent out to their members to invite them to become supporters of UNICEF.
3. Face-to-Face (F2F) fundraising for UNICEF
Face-to-Face (F2F) fundraising is one of UNICEF’s most important and most effective ways of recruiting supporters for our work for children in Thailand and across the world. Face-to-Face fundraising for UNICEF usually takes place in high pedestrian traffic areas, such as shopping malls, office buildings, BTS stations and during exhibitions and events in and around Bangkok and other cities in Thailand. As the name implies, it is a person-to-person recruitment method that involves asking individuals to become supporters of UNICEF’s work for children through regular monthly donations via a secure credit card system. This fundraising approach is used by charities and development organizations around the world.
Since 2007, this method has been a central part of UNICEF’s fundraising efforts in Thailand to support the work we do for the most vulnerable children. Thanks to the goodwill of the people of Thailand and a widespread understanding of the need to protect and ensure the rights of all children, these fundraising efforts continue to be successful. The regular and reliable income that this provides is what helps us to be more efficient and more effective in our work for children in Thailand and across the world.

4. Tele-fundraising
Tele-fundraising is a resource mobilization method used by UNICEF offices around the world. It is a convenient way for donors to contribute to the work of UNICEF, and it also provides UNICEF with an opportunity to have direct conversations with our donors. When you receive a phone call from a UNICEF fundraiser, you can make a donation by telling the fundraiser the amount you want to donate and by providing your credit card number and expiry date.
All telephone conversations between our fundraisers and donors are recorded so that we can ensure that we are providing our donors with the best quality service, and all of these conversations are kept strictly confidential. Every fundraiser making calls on behalf of UNICEF has an ID number, and you can contact the UNICEF office in Thailand to verify a fundraiser’s information, including their full name and ID number.
You can also verify whether a given telemarketing fundraiser is a UNICEF fundraising team member by asking for their ID and checking it on this list.
