Highlights

This report from the UNICEF Office of Research–Innocenti features research and data from more than 300 sport for development (S4D) programmes in 100 countries. It summarizes a longer report on lessons learned about the positive contribution made by S4D programmes, as well as recommendations for policymakers, practitioners and researchers. A provisional version of the full report, which is still in production, is also available. Getting into the Game represents the first phase of a two-part research effort to strengthen the evidence base on how S4D can improve outcomes in children’s education, social inclusion, protection and empowerment.
