The world's largest challenges need the world's largest team.
UNICEF works day in and day out, in some of the world’s toughest places, to protect children’s rights and safeguard their futures. On the ground in over 190 countries and territories, we reach more children and young people than any other international organization. But we can’t do it alone.
UNICEF unites with the public sector, private sector and civil society to improve children’s health, nutrition, education and protection. Our individual supporters help by donating, volunteering or being advocates for children and young people in their communities.
Entirely reliant on voluntary contributions, we bring more than 70 years of field-tested expertise, a network that spans the globe, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to making every dollar count.
Explore our partnerships
Our public sector partners include governments, international financial institutions and other multilateral organizations, especially through global programme partnerships. Together, we advocate for and with children, help countries set agendas that prioritize their rights, and mobilize resources to achieve a more equitable, just and sustainable world.
We unite with the corporate sector, philanthropies, foundations, membership-based organizations and others to achieve sustainable change for the world’s children. Whether it’s through strategic programmatic funding, by leveraging a company’s core expertise and networks, or by working with industries to promote child-rights principles in responsible business practices, private sector partnerships help us make a transformational difference for children.

We join forces with diverse organizations in civil society to reach communities and local decision makers where they are. Our civil society partners include non-governmental organizations, faith-based organizations, universities, think tanks, research institutes, “sports for development” organizations, community-based organizations, social movements and more.
As part of the United Nations (UN) system, UNICEF works closely with other funds, programmes and specialized agencies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the UN’s development operations and support countries to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through joint programmes and funding arrangements, we harness our complementary strengths to advance progress for the world’s children.
