A review of over 15,000 UN evaluation reports, examining trends in data sources, analytical approaches and methodological rigor across the UN system.

About

This diagnostic review examines how methodological approaches and data sources are used across United Nations evaluations. Drawing on more than 15,000 evaluation reports from United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG) member organizations, it uses text analysis to identify trends in methodological rigor, data source diversity and analytical approaches. The report highlights progress as well as persistent gaps and provides recommendations to strengthen methodological transparency and rigor across the UN evaluation system.
