This report highlights early progress and learning from the POWER4Girls partnership, a global initiative co-led by UNICEF and Purposeful to advance the rights, wellbeing and leadership of adolescent girls.
Launched in 2025, POWER4Girls brings together large-scale systems programming with direct funding for girls-led movements. The report provides a snapshot from the first year of implementation, highlighting impact data, country programme examples, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Lebanon, and priorities for the next phase. It highlights how the initiative is expanding girls’ access to education and skills, economic empowerment, services, addressing the root causes of gender inequality, supporting girl-led organizations, and generating evidence to inform policies and investments for adolescent girls.
