About Household Survey

This rapid opinion poll on the impact of rising fuel prices on the cost of living aims to examine household experiences and perceptions, as well as the effects of higher fuel prices on children.

The survey employed a quantitative methodology, with data collected through questionnaires administered via field surveys and face-to-face interviews with respondents.

A total of 1,227 households across all regions of Thailand participated in the survey, comprising households with children aged 0–5 years and those with children aged 6–18 years.

Data collection was conducted in June 2026.

About the Online Survey

UNICEF Thailand conducted a rapid online survey of 435 adolescents and young people aged 15–24 between June and July 2026 to better understand how rising fuel prices and the increasing cost of living are affecting their households, education and well-being.

The questionnaire was distributed through youth networks across Thailand. As the survey used a self-selected online sample, and most respondents were students, the findings reflect only the experiences of the young people who took part in the survey and cannot be generalized to the entire adolescent and youth population in Thailand.
