Action Plan to Develop Integrated Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents (2023-2027)

The Action Plan provides a framework for all mental health services and efforts to prevent and address mental health issues among children and adolescents in Thailand.

Highlights

The Action Plan to Develop Integrated Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents (2023-2027) is aligned with the 20-Year National Strategy and all action plans concerning children and adolescents. It encourages all sectors to participate in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of mental health services for children and adolescents and take concrete actions to achieve goals. The Action Plan covers 4 strategic areas, namely: 

(1) Promoting and preventing mental health issues for children and adolescents, families, communities and society in an inclusive, equal and timely manner

(2) Developing integrated mental health services for children and adolescents that meet international standards at all levels

(3) Strengthening mechanisms and partnerships at national and local levels to provide integrated mental health services for children and adolescents, as part of the country’s development strategy

(4) Developing and managing the workforce, innovations, digital technologies, information and systems to support efficient mental health services for children and adolescents. The Action Plan provides a framework for advancing policies and activities to achieve goals, ensuring that all relevant agencies are aligned and working together.
