In 2023, UNICEF’s Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) continued to play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission to protect, support and secure a better future for children around the world.

Bridging digital divide and fostering innovation for children and youth, especially in crisis regions.
Supporting efforts during crisis incl the Morocco earthquake, Sudan conflict, and Libya floods with resilient digital infrastructure.
Implementing digital solutions to reduce risks and boost the resilience of vulnerable communities.
Promoting partnerships and responsible use of emerging tech such as AI to ensure every child safely benefits from digital technology.
Scaling initiatives and exploring new digital frontiers through collaboration with governments, donors, private sector partners, and local actors.
Contributing significantly to progress in data analytics, digital education, e-health platforms and remote collaboration.
