A partnership to empower and educate children and young people.

The Pandora for UNICEF partnership focuses on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals #3, #4 and #5, which are about survival and well-being as well as education and gender equality.

Pandora for UNICEF has helped more than 1.2 million children around the world and supports children and young people, especially girls, with educational programmes. Supporting girls’ education transforms communities, countries, and the entire world. Girls who receive an education are less likely to marry young and more likely to lead healthy, productive lives. They earn higher incomes, participate in the decisions that most affect them, and build better futures for themselves and their families.

In 2023, Pandora renewed its longstanding support as a global UNICEF partner.  The partnership is built on dedicating half of funds to educational programming, specifically with a focus on girls, in Viet Nam, Thailand, and China. The remaining half is given without restriction. This critical unrestricted funding underscores Pandora’s confidence in UNICEF’s ability to allocate resources wherever and whenever they are most urgently needed, ensuring UNICEF’s unwavering support for children before, during, and after emergencies.

Pandora has stepped up with support during unforeseen crises like:

  • Earthquake Response: In 2023, Pandora was also the first corporate partner to provide relief funds for UNICEF’s earthquake response in Türkiye and Syria with a $220K emergency donation.

  • War in Ukraine: In 2022, Pandora was the first corporate partner to support UNICEF’s relief efforts in Ukraine following the Russian invasion. The $1 million were directed to healthcare for 4.5 million children and women, as well as mental health and psychosocial support for 2.2 million children and caregivers in and around Ukraine.

  • COVID-19: In 2020, Pandora donated $1 million to support the COVID-19 pandemic response.

Since 2019, Pandora dedicated a Pandora for UNICEF charm to further create awareness around the issues the partnership supports.  Each year, a new Pandora for UNICEF charm is launched as part of the collection. The collection is available online and across Pandora’s stores in more than 100 countries.
