Early Childhood Development and Learning During Crisis (COVID-19)
Promoting all measures to ensure optimal child development

- Available in:

The expansion of COVID-19 has left the vast majority of young girls and boys out of childcare centers and early childhood educational programs. Such a disruption has never been experienced in early childhood development services. For this reason, it is vital to adapt and contextualize the services, as well as to implement all the necessary measures to ensure parents, caregivers and families receive guidance and support for they to provide their children with loving and sensitive care, in a safe environment that can mitigate the effects derived from social isolation measures due to the response to the pandemic.
At home, families can continue promoting play-based learning activities that guarantee optimal child development, while providing the conditions for adequate health care, nutrition and protection, all essential elements in the first years of life.
