Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a multifaceted personality and globally recognized talent. She served as a National Ambassador to UNICEF India for ten years before joining the global Goodwill Ambassador team in December 2016.
Priyanka is involved in a number of efforts to protect children’s rights and promote the education of girls in India, including through her namesake charity, The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education, and as a United Nations Foundation Girl Up Champion.

2021
- Priyanka and other UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors joined a call by high-profile supporters demanding that G7 leaders commit to donating doses of COVID-19 vaccines to poorer countries.
2020
- On World Children’s Day, Priyanka spoke with Aditya, a 16-year-old youth activist, about his quest to eliminate single use plastics in India, and discussed a more sustainable world for every child.
2019
- Priyanka was named the 2019 recipient of the UNICEF Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at UNICEF’s Snowflake Ball in New York.

Priyanka travelled to Ethiopia to meet refugee children who fled their countries due to conflict and humanitarian crises. During the visit, she met children and young people living in the Bambasi refugee camp, home to 17,000 refugees largely from Sudan, and the Hitsats and Adi-Harush camps.

Priyanka travelled with UNICEF to Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, to meet Rohingya refugee children and women.

Priyanka travelled with UNICEF to Jordan to meet with Syrian children and young people whose lives had been greatly affected by the conflict in Syria.

Priyanka travelled to Zimbabwe to meet with child survivors of sexual violence. Following her visit, she hosted the inaugural UNICEF South Africa fundraising gala.
