UNICEF is working towards the goal that every child is protected from all forms of violence and exploitation, including those associated with digital technologies. This policy brief sets out key recommendations to protect children from violence and exploitation in relation to the digital environment.
The policy brief is intended for government ministries and departments focusing on children, gender, social services, justice, and technology/digitalisation.
While this policy brief is focused on the role of governments, tackling these challenges demands actions from many stakeholders – from the different parts of government to businesses, civil society, media, faith-based and community leaders, investors, educators, parents and caregivers, and children and young people.
