Annual Report 2025
Destaques
In 2025, Angola marked 50 years of independence amid a complex economic and social landscape that continued to shape children’s well-being and progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
Angola’s economic growth was about two per cent in 2025—slower than population growth of 3.5 per cent—and households continued to feel the effects of high inflation (roughly 22 per cent) and rising transport and food costs. Oil still dominated exports, while non-oil sectors such as agriculture and construction saw limited gains. A 33 per cent increase in diesel prices and a fragile currency added pressure on family budgets and increased the cost of delivering public services. These factors constrained fiscal space and increased the importance of prioritizing investments that protect children’s health, learning, and protection.
