Highlights

For more than 70 years, UNICEF has worked with governments and engaged with businesses and partners to develop products and deliver them at scale to improve the health, education and protection of many children and their families. In recent years, UNICEF’s impact on children’s lives has been enhanced by guiding research and development, encouraging innovation to solve identified problems and supporting more local product production.

In 2018, UNICEF procured $3.486 billion worth of goods and services for children in 150 countries and areas. UNICEF Supply Annual Report 2018 highlights examples of where engagement with the business sector contributed to the health, safety and well-being of children and their families. It also draws attention to the opportunities where further value can be created by doing more to strengthen public and private-sector collaborations, embark on new innovations and foster healthy markets.
