NutriNorte MOzambique. Nourishing the Future of Mozambique through healthier, more resilient communities.
UNICEF Mozambique/2025

Highlights

NutriNorte is a transformative, multi-sectoral programme launched in February 2024 to break the cycle of undernutrition and underdevelopment in Mozambique. By focusing on the country’s most impacted provinces — Zambézia, Nampula, and Cabo Delgado — the programme aims to improve the nutrition and well-being of children under five, adolescents, and women in 15 high-burden districts.

Through this effort, NutriNorte is helping to reduce stunting and build a healthier, more resilient future for Mozambique’s next generation.

The NutriNorte programme delivers a package of health, nutrition, water and sanitation, and social behavior change interventions reaching families and communities with holistic access to services, while strengthening national systems through support for governance, information management and supply chain management, to improve service delivery.
