Danny Glover
UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2004

"During all my trips around the world, I will carry out my responsibilities as Goodwill Ambassador by telling of the suffering I have seen."
Actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover has been a commanding presence on the screen, stage and television for more than 30 years.
As an actor, his film credits range from the blockbuster Lethal Weapon franchise to smaller independent features, some of which Danny also produced. In addition to his film work, Danny serves as a public speaker, delivering inspirational addresses and performances on college campuses, at union rallies and for business conventions.
Danny's wide-reaching community activism and philanthropic efforts emphasize economic justice and access to health care and education in the United States and Africa. He was appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2004, travelling first to Ethiopia, where he met and listened to the stories of children who had been maimed by mines. Danny immediately called on nations that stockpile anti-personnel mines to ratify the Mine Ban Treaty.
In 2013, Danny was presented with the Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award, honouring him for his decades-long advocacy on behalf of the most vulnerable children.
