UNICEF and WFP Global Impact Evaluation Forum 2024 at the United Nations
Experimenting, learning and scaling up what works in a fragile world | 2–5 December 2024

The Global Impact Evaluation Forum 2024 held at the United Nations, hosted by UNICEF and co-sponsored by UNICEF and the World Food Programme (WFP), is designed to carry forward the momentum from the WFP Impact Evaluation Forum in 2023, delving into the issues raised last year but this time bringing in a stronger focus on child and gender outcomes in fragile settings as well as increased global vulnerabilities associated with climate fragility.
The forum will tackle the questions "How can impact evaluation help demonstrate the difference we are making in people’s lives in fragile contexts?" and "What current interventions and potential solutions in those contexts warrant rigorous assessment through impact evaluation?" Participants will have the opportunity to showcase impact evidence from climate-prone and poly-crisis environments, learn from each other’s experiences, and identify concrete areas of potential collaboration on impact evaluation.
The event will amplify existing capacity with sessions on the latest methodological and practical innovations and will invest in strengthening connections between evidence generators and users.
