Global Synthesis Report: Real-Time Assessment (RTA) of the UNICEF response to COVID-19
As COVID-19 containment and response measures in 2020 were starting to impact ‘business as usual’, the UNICEF Evaluation function designed the real-time assessment (RTA) of the UNICEF response to COVID-19. The RTA was designed around 4 overarching questions (adaptation, implementation, quality and lessons learned) and aimed to support UNICEF regional offices (ROs) in their oversight role, generating learning as the pandemic unfolded. The RTA was customized and rolled out in 41 countries and 7 regions and the process delivered multiple products. This global synthesis report provides a summary of regional findings generated between October 2020 and April 2021 and was finalized in June 2021.
