About

Learn from experts on generating evidence and forging partnerships for child-sensitive social protection.

UNICEF places great importance on sustaining partnerships and producing evidence to support social protection policies and advance children’s rights globally. Originating from Evaluation of UNICEF social protection responses towards universal child benefits, and very well welcome by development partners, this webinar is organized by the UNICEF Evaluation Office New York and Economic Policy Research Institute (EPRI). The panel discussion presented good practices in partnerships and evidence-building guided by UNICEF Country Offices in Thailand and Montenegro, aimed at progressively expanding child benefits and strengthening child-sensitive social protection.

The first case study explores UNICEF Montenegro’s strategic partnerships focused on generating and disseminating evidence regarding the benefits of expanding child benefits. This part examines key approaches for disseminating evidence among stakeholders to advocate for universal child benefits and how these strategies can be replicated in other countries.

The second case study highlights UNICEF Thailand’s comprehensive approach, utilizing evidence and partnerships with civil society and national research institutions to catalyze policy impact. Additionally, the session addressed the future role of partnerships in evidence generation and the lessons that other countries can adopt to establish and strengthen successful partnerships for child-sensitive social protection.
