Evaluation, supports organizational learning and accountability, helping UNICEF Latin America and the Caribbean Country Offices and Regional Office and headquarters continuously improve their performance through better results. Evaluation evidence guides the effective design and implementation of its programs and informs evidence-based decision making for child rights. Evaluation also reinforces UNICEF’s alignment to national government priorities, ownership, management for results and mutual accountability.

According to their purpose, evaluations are done at different times. They either are done when responding to crisis, while transitioning or recovering from them as well as whilst interventions focus longer term development goals.
