The UNICEF Procedure on Sustainable Procurement sets out a mandatory, risk-based approach to integrating environmental, social and economic considerations into procurement across global supply operations. It guides internal practices and embeds sustainability requirements into UNICEF tenders and contracts based on associated risks. By promoting responsible purchasing and collaboration with suppliers, sustainable procurement serves as a key enabler of sustainable and effective programming and supports UNICEF's contributions to the SDGs.
