PROSPECTS in Action
Vision, milestones and impact
About
The PROSPECTS Partnership is a groundbreaking global initiative that operationalizes the humanitarian-development-peace nexus to address the unprecedented global displacement crisis, which affects over 123.2 million forcibly displaced persons, nearly 50 million of whom are children.
This briefing paper details the Partnership's collective action, vision, and concrete results (milestones) since its launch. Spearheaded by the Government of the Netherlands, the coalition brings together the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNHCR, UNICEF, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the World Bank.
The document highlights the critical shift towards long-term, sustainable solutions by integrating forcibly displaced people into national education, social protection, and labour market systems. UNICEF’s role is critical in strengthening national systems to ensure equitable access to quality education, child protection, health, early childhood development, nutrition, and water and sanitation for displaced and host community children and young people. The paper demonstrates how collective action can transform systems and calls for other donors and partners to co-invest and scale innovative solutions that build long-term resilience.
