UNICEF’s new position paper on Famine Prevention and Mitigation lays out our vision for a holistic approach to famine prevention. This approach is aligned with the Nutrition Strategy 2020-2030, whereby UNICEF will advocate for and support policies, strategies and programmes to protect and fulfil the nutrition rights of children and women affected by humanitarian crises.
