Communities Care : Transforming Lives and Preventing Violence Programme (CC Programme) Part One: Building Knowledge and Awareness shares information about sexual violence and social norms, and aims to inspire programme staff to take action with communities to stop it.
Section 1: Information introduces the topics of sexual violence, social norms and self-awareness and provides essential information, reflection questions and programming tips. The first section introduces the topics of sexual violence, social norms and self- awareness. Each topic includes reflection activities to get you thinking about the topic and to draw on your knowledge and experience about it. Make sure you have plenty of blank paper and a pen ready to jot down your responses to the questions as you go through. You will also find lots of information about sexual violence and social norms, and boxes with helpful hints for programming to get you thinking about how the information relates to programming.
Section 2: Capacity Building contains training materials for programme staff and stakeholders on sexual violence, social norms and self-awareness. The second section contains training materials that can be used to train other people ( including CC Programme staff and stakeholders on sexual violence) on sexual violence, social norms and self-awareness.
