Our history in Timor-Leste
UNICEF is a leading advocate for child rights, working in more than 190 countries, territories and areas. UNICEF in Timor-Leste is part of this global organisation.
Since Timor-Leste’s independence, UNICEF has been working in partnership with the Government of Timor-Leste and other stakeholders to improve the survival, development, protection and participation of children and their families in Timor-Leste.
Based in the capital, Dili, UNICEF’s 43 staff in Timor-Leste work to make positive and lasting change for Timor-Leste’s most vulnerable children and their families.
