BANGKOK, 19 March 2026 — Two of Thailand’s rising stars - Tawan “Tay” Vihokratana and Nattawat “Fourth” Jirochtikul from GMMTV - are joining UNICEF Thailand to inspire a new generation of Thais to support children in need through the “For Every Child, A PROMISE” campaign.

First launched in 2023, the campaign invites people to make a simple but powerful promise: to stand with children facing some of the world’s toughest challenges. Funds raised through the campaign will help UNICEF provide vulnerable children with essential support, including healthcare, nutrition, clean water, education, and protection. Crucially, these funds allow UNICEF to respond immediately when emergencies strike, delivering life-saving support to children affected by disasters, conflict and other crises.

The need for this support is urgent. Right now, 49 million children around the world have been displaced by conflict and violence. Many are forced from their homes, separated from their families, and exposed to hunger, disease and violence. Growing up in such conditions comes at a devastating cost - these children are twice as likely to die before their fifth birthday as children living in more stable countries.

Children in Thailand also face serious challenges to their wellbeing and development. To name a few, 40 per cent of Thai students drop out before completing upper secondary school, about 400,000 are victims of online sexual abuse and exploitation, and most children in the country breathe polluted air, with serious potential consequences for their health. UNICEF works with partners to address these challenges and build long-term solutions to improve the lives of children in Thailand and around the world.

The PROMISE Ring is the symbol of the campaign. Inspired by the safety pin traditionally worn by pregnant women as a sign of protection for mother and child, the pin curves into a ring. This represents a promise of care, hope and solidarity with children facing hardship, wherever they are.

With millions of fans, Tay and Fourth are using their voices to encourage young people in Thailand to do their part in securing a hopeful future for every child.

For Tay, supporting children should be a long-term commitment, not a one-off donation. “Taking care of ourselves is important but when we are fortunate enough to live well, we shouldn’t turn our backs on children who still need support.”

For Fourth, the campaign resonates with his own experience growing up with supportive parents who helped him pursue his goals in life. “Dreams are very important for children because they help shape their future,” he said, adding that he hopes to inspire young fans to believe in their own potential.
