What we do

We work day in and day out, in 190 countries and territories, including Sierra Leone, to reach the children most at risk and most in need.

UNICEF’s work in Sierra Leone

UNICEF works to uphold the rights and well-being of all children in Sierra Leone, across health, nutrition, HIV/AIDS, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), protection, education, social inclusion, emergencies, disabilities and adolescent development.

In Sierra Leone, UNICEF’s Country Programme aims to reach the most disadvantaged children. UNICEF works with the Government on policy to improve basic social services, as well as on the ground with partners and communities to make sure that these services reach all children, especially the most vulnerable.
