Highlights

Conflict and floods continue to place children and families across Mozambique at risk, particularly in hard-to-reach communities. This fact sheet highlights how UNICEF is using Mozambique Humanitarian Fund (MOZ HF) financing to deliver integrated, life-saving support across health, nutrition, water and sanitation, child protection and cash assistance.

As of 31 August 2026, UNICEF had reached 498,765 people, including 363,351 children, while exceeding targets in areas such as primary healthcare, safe water and hygiene promotion. The fact sheet also shows how this support is reaching remote communities, providing treatment for severe acute malnutrition and helping families affected by emergencies meet urgent needs and begin rebuilding their lives.
