Lessons Learned and Good Practices: Country-specific case studies on immunization activities during the COVID-19 pandemic

Health systems and immunization services globally have been overwhelmed and compromised by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This report documents the challenges and achievements of six countries - Angola, Bangladesh, India, Papua New Guinea, Philippines and Yemen - in reinstating immunization campaigns despite severe strain on health systems and the health workforce.
The good practices and lessons learned illustrate the importance of government leadership, multi-agency involvement and community acceptance. The report highlights the need for campaign planners to adapt global guidelines to their country context and ensure safety standards are met, whilst supporting vulnerable communities to access essential immunization services.
