The scale of the COVID-19 crisis has been unprecedented. National governments in many countries continue to grapple with the challenges of reaching their populations with the tools they need to fight COVID-19, while also working to recover from the economic and social impacts of the pandemic.

Since the start, UNICEF has been working to address the stark inequalities that exist in access to COVID-19 vaccines, tests, treatments and personal protective equipment, while strengthening health care systems and programmes. UNICEF has also been engaging with experts to develop the latest data, insights and analysis for policymakers and to provide reliable guidance and support to parents and caregivers to help keep children and their families healthy.
