UNICEF’s Climate Cinema

UNICEF's Climate Cinema brings together five powerful stories co-created with children and young people from across Nepal, each living on the frontlines of the climate crisis. Through a series of short films, young storytellers share how rising temperatures, floods, landslides, droughts and pollution are affecting their daily lives, communities and futures.

From classrooms damaged by extreme weather to communities adapting to changing environments, the films highlight both the growing impacts of climate change and the determination of children and young people to respond. Their stories reveal not only the challenges they face, but also their leadership, creativity and commitment to protecting the environment and advocating for action.

By amplifying children's voices and lived experiences, Climate Cinema provides a platform for young people to shape the conversation on climate change and reminds us that children must be at the center of climate solutions.
