How and where we work

UNICEF’s work in Nepal is based on the Basic Cooperation Agreement concluded between the Government and UNICEF on 21 February 1996. UNICEF  provides technical support at the grassroots level in the Gaunpalikas and Nagarpalikas, and the experiences garnered in the process will guide its strategy to influence policies and programmes at the national level. 

 UNICEF’s country office is in Kathmandu. The field support are provided through four field offices, in Janakpur, Birendranagar, Siddharthanagar and Dhangadhi.
