What we do

Meeting the needs of children in all stages of life to survive, grow, thrive and reach their full potential

UNICEF Namibia has adopted an integrated life cycle approach to child and adolescent development for the coming years (2019-2023)

Our programme was developed in close partnership with the Government of Namibia and all development partners, and supports key development issues addressed in the Fifth National Development Plan, Vision 2030, the United Nations Partnership Framework (UNPAF) 2019-2023 and the Sustainable Development Goals

Using the life cycle approach, specific priorities were identified to provide support to children during different stages of life.

Our programme goals are to advance the rights of all children and adolescents by:

  • providing equal access to services and care;
  • working to achieve gender fairness and equality;
  • amplifying children’s and adolescent’s concerns;
  • understanding the situation facing children everywhere, especially those who are unheard and disadvantaged and;
  • supporting partners to improve that situation
