About

Dear Reader,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the inaugural edition of UNICEF Namibia’s Newsletter, a new platform to keep you informed, inspired, and engaged in the work we do together for children across Namibia. This newsletter emerges at a pivotal moment, as we advance the priorities outlined in our new Country Programme Document (CPD) 2025–2029, developed in close collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Namibia and other key partners. Guided by national development goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), our programme is firmly rooted in promoting child rights, poverty, equity, and resilience, especially for the most vulnerable.

Each edition will bring you updates on UNICEF’s programmes in Health & Nutrition, Education, Child Protection, Social Policy, Adolescent & Youth and Drought response. You will hear from voices in the field, learn about progress and challenges, and explore innovations and new ways of working that are making a difference in the lives of children, adolescents, and families across the country.

We hope this newsletter serves not only as a source of information, but also as a celebration of partnerships and a reminder of what we can achieve together. Thank you for being part of the journey to ensure that every child in Namibia survives, thrives, and grows up in a safe and supportive environment to achieve their full potential.
