UNICEFMaldives/2021In the last 43 years in the Maldives, UNICEF has supported rolling out cholera and polio vaccines (in the 1970s and 1980s), to procuring vaccines against COVID-19 in 2021, from helping establish schools in every island in 1970s to supporting design of education programmes for 21st century skills and competencies today, from supporting child protection services to building child protection systems at national and community levels and helping draft related legislations, from nutrition programming to early childhood development, from emergency response to the tsunami to building climate resiliency, from working for children to working with children, every boy and girl, from MDGs to the SDGs, UNICEF stands side by side with national stakeholders, Government, Civil society organizations, the private sector, communities, parents, care givers and children themselves!
