Highlights
Indonesia has made notable progress in improving nutrition outcomes, including a significant reduction in stunting. Nevertheless, malnutrition in all its forms—undernutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, overweight and obesity—remains a persistent challenge to equitable human development.
The Indonesia 2018–2024 National Nutrition Programme Review presents an independent, evidence-based assessment of nutrition-specific programmes implemented in the country, analysing progress achieved, remaining implementation gaps, and key system bottlenecks across the life course. Anchored in the WHO health system framework, the review provides actionable recommendations to strengthen policy coherence, service delivery, financing, coordination, and data systems, supporting the continued strengthening of Indonesia’s national nutrition response.
