Highlights
This publication documents the outcomes of the UNICEF–LIXIL Make a Splash! partnership, implemented across Bihar and Odisha to accelerate progress toward safely managed sanitation and hygiene.
Through market-based approaches, innovation, and community engagement, the initiative expanded access to affordable sanitation products and services, promoted hand hygiene, and professionalized the sanitation workforce.
Centring the voices of women masons, youth entrepreneurs, and women's collectives, the book presents process learnings and scalable models that demonstrate how public–private collaboration can deliver inclusive, equitable WASH outcomes in support of SDG 6 and India's national sanitation priorities.
