This domain incorporates issues that are part of the broader group of civil rights and freedoms, such as the right to birth registration, a name and nationality and the right to preservation of identity. Further to these, this domain includes elements relevant to a child's right to participation in individual and collective decision-making, access to information and protection of privacy, as well as civil and political freedoms, such as the freedom of expression, freedom of thought, conscience and religion and freedom of association.
