Capacity building of front-line health workers is imperative to ensure quality of care service delivery at last mile. UNICEF India, by its unique mandate and advantage, leveraged its digital strategy to build and design an application aimed to enable need-based training and identification of the areas for training targeting frontline workers.

Using the Rapid Pro based chatbots for comprehensive primary health care targeted towards its use by ASHAs and ANMs who are last mile frontline workers of the primary health care system of the Government of India.

UNICEF Chatbot - DISHA (DIgital Smart Healthcare Assistance) is a one of a kind chatbot created for supporting the front line workforce to keep them abreast with latest knowledge.

A dashboard is also being developed that provides analytical data related to the use of the chatbot, number of active users, location of use, themes accessed, and other useful information.

Features

  • Persona driven: The chatbot features Disha didi, a persona that guides users through topics and quizzes, and awards them badges and stars.
  • The bot is currently available in English, Hindi and Tamil.
