24 March 2023, Sofia, Bulgaria - Nova Broadcasting Group and UNICEF Bulgaria signed a strategic partnership memorandum today. It reflects the commitment of the two parties to join forces in supporting the rights and well-being of children in Bulgaria through quality and comprehensive information and advocacy.

The document consolidates the fruitful cooperation between Nova Broadcasting Group and UNICEF Bulgaria, which have successfully implemented a number of joint initiatives in recent years. One of the significant causes, realized with joint efforts, was the charity mini season of one of the most popular shows on TV " Your face sounds familiar". The joint fundraising campaign achieved an impressive result - over 500 000 BGN was raised in support of three causes. "Protection for Every Child", "Voice for Every Child" and "Best Start for Every Child" brought together almost 85,000 people who became monthly or one-off donors to UNICEF. And BGN 100,000 of the money raised was sent to support children and families affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

"As a socially responsible company, Nova Broadcasting Group has always supported important causes and initiatives in various spheres of public life in Bulgaria. We are happy to continue our successful partnership with UNICEF Bulgaria."

- Stefana Zdravkova, CEO of Nova Broadcasting Group

"The latest proof of the result of our effective cooperation is the implementation of the charity format "Your face sounds familiar", which achieved remarkable success. I am convinced that with our joint efforts we could continue to improve the lives of Bulgarian children and their families", said Stefana Zdravkova, CEO of Nova Broadcasting Group.

"NOVA Broadcasting Group's portfolio of news, talk shows and related channels provide a great platform to promote children's rights. It is crucial to raise important issues in society such as early childhood development, prevention and elimination of violence against children, social inclusion and inclusive education for every child.

On behalf of UNICEF, I would like to express my utmost gratitude for the opportunities provided. We look forward to continuing our strategic partnership and planning new joint activities to support a better future for every child,"

- said Christina de Bruin, UNICEF Representative in Bulgaria.

Nova Broadcasting Group and UNICEF Bulgaria will continue their fruitful cooperation next year, when the media and technology company will support UNICEF's efforts to achieve sustainable results to empower children and adolescents in Bulgaria to develop their potential in an inclusive and protective society.

UNICEF Bulgaria is actively working to ensure that every child has the best start in life, is supported to develop their full potential and thrive, is protected from violence, exploitation, abuse, neglect , goes to school, has access to social protection and lives free from poverty, and lives in a safe and sustainable climate and environment.
