UNICEF is the United Nations Children's Fund. We work in 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child. UNICEF has spent 70 years working to improve the lives of children and their families.
UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments. UNICEF is guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which has been signed and ratified by almost all United Nations member states to establish child rights as permanent ethical principles and international standards. We cooperate with all countries and governments; build strategic partnerships with the corporate sector and the media; and cooperate with local communities, civil society organisations, and independent institutions to provide systematic support to children.
We’re working day-in day-out, in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the children who are most at risk and most in need. Delivering results for every child is UNICEF’s driving force.
