The new season of “Singing or Lying” will begin in a different way this year – live and with a charitable mission. On 20 September at 8:00 p.m., NOVA will broadcast a special episode of the hit show in support of UNICEF Bulgaria.
During the special evening, host Dimitar Rachkov will welcome eight beloved Bulgarian stars, who will take on an unusual challenge in duets with eight children. The popular performers joining UNICEF’s cause are Veselin Marinov, Toni Dimitrova, Mihaela Marinova, Orlin Pavlov, Galena, Miro, Fiki and Desi Slava – all participants in previous seasons of “Sing or Lie”. With the help of the panellists, their task will be to answer the only question that matters in “Sing or Lie”: does the child beside them have musical talent? The first two guest panellists for the charity episode have also been announced: accomplished journalist and “Wake Up” host Marina Tsekova and singer Viktor Todorov. Marina Tsekova regularly covers a range of social issues and has supported numerous charitable initiatives in Bulgaria for years, while Viktor Todorov, in addition to winning “Singing or Lying” and appearing in “Your Face Sounds Familiar”, has a personal story connected to UNICEF’s causes.
As the successful format dictates, the truth will not be revealed straight away. Over several rounds, the stars and panelists will have to rely on their intuition, powers of observation and ability to spot genuine talent behind convincing deception. Viewers will also be able to join the game by voting for their favourite duet and choosing the winner of the evening. When each duet performs, viewers, the celebrity contestant and the panel will discover which children can really sing and which have managed to play everyone.
On 20 September, children and UNICEF’s causes will take centre stage across NOVA’s programming.
Throughout the day, viewers will have the opportunity to hear children’s voices, stories and perspectives across a range of programmes and formats. Some of NOVA’s well-known faces will also share messages in support of the mission of UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund.
The special episode of the popular music show “Singing or Lying” will also be viewers’ first introduction to the new season, with Dimitar Rachkov once again at the helm. This season, regular panellists Ivan Hristov and Andrey Arnaudov will be joined by a new third permanent panellist, whose identity will be revealed soon. Two different guest panellists will join them in each episode and will be introduced over the course of the season.
Fans will have to wait and see which Bulgarian stars will take on the exciting and highly entertaining challenge in the new season of “Singing or Lying”.
Packed with music, surprises, genuine talent and contestants ready to fool everyone, the fourth season of “Singing or Lying” launches on 20 September at 8:00 p.m. on NOVA with the special live episode “Singing or Lying” in support of UNICEF.

Additional information:
For another year, NOVA and UNICEF are joining forces to support a better future for children during the year marking the organization’s 80th anniversary. The initiative is part of the “There Is No Such Thing as Someone Else’s Child” campaign, rooted in one of the deepest values in Bulgarian culture: the belief that caring for and supporting children is a shared responsibility. Funds raised through the campaign will support UNICEF programmes for the most vulnerable children in Bulgaria and around the world, helping every child get the best start in life, access quality education, be protected from violence and receive support in times of crisis.
