About

This report comprehensively analyses the well-being, emotional balance and mental health of lower secondary students in Romania, in the context of changes in the education system and the challenges generated by the digital environment, social inequalities and academic pressure.

The report is structured around three complementary dimensions:

  1. Socio-emotional skills, well-being and mental health of lower secondary students;
  2. The impact of technology and social networks on the well-being of lower secondary students;
  3. Institutional capacity to support socio-emotional development.

The study was carried out within the project Policies and Resources for Safe and Supportive Schools funded by the European Union through the Technical Support Instrument and implemented by the Ministry of Education and Research, with the technical assistance of UNICEF and in cooperation with the European Commission.
